Nido

Nido Program

Between 6 months to 15 months.

Nido is a space of peace and calm, thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of babies at this stage of development.
This environment is designed for infants from 6 months until they can walk independently and securely, around 15 months. At that stage, they begin their transition into the Infant Community, a space tailored to their evolving developmental needs.

The program options are: Half Day finishes after lunch at 12:30 and Full Day for children who wish to nap at the school and they go home at 15:15.

“Never help a child with a task at which he feels he can succeed.”

Dr. María Montessori

Montessori-trained guides provide support and understand that affection is essential
for healthy child development.

Natural Environment

The environment is guided by principles of simplicity, order, and harmony. Neutral colors have been chosen to create a sense of peace, while warm lighting and carefully selected materials foster a cozy atmosphere—an extension of the home. This thoughtful design helps ease the child’s transition between home and school, offering comfort and security. In the classroom, everything is within the child’s reach.

Work Materials

Work materials are placed on the floor and on low wooden shelves, encouraging independent movement. This approach supports both physical and cognitive development, recognizing that movement and intelligence are closely linked.

The eating area

In the eating area, wooden cube chairs provide structured support, allowing babies to sit independently once they are able to do so on their own.

A place to rest

The rest area is also at floor level, allowing babies to move freely while becoming aware of their own needs and developing autonomy.

Enrolment options

Children in this environment attend 5, 4 or 3 days a week.
